How we use your data
When you sign in with LinkedIn, LinkedIn sends us your name, profile photo, email address and a member identifier. We don't receive your connections, messages or activity, and we can't post on your behalf.
What other members see
Your name, photo, headline, profile link and the things you're open to appear on your card. The person who invited you and anyone you invite can see your card. Members two or three steps below you also see it, unless you turn off "Show me in the lineage of people I invite", in which case they see "A member".
Invitations
When you invite someone, we store the name, optional email, reason and note you enter so we can show it to them and track whether they joined. If you add an email and email delivery is set up, we send them one message.
Asking to join through a group link
When you ask to join through a member's group link, we store your LinkedIn name, photo and email, plus the headline, profile link and note you add, so the link owner can decide. If they decline, or you withdraw, we delete those details and keep only the fact that a request was made. If they approve, the details move to your member card.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account from the bottom of your lineage page. We remove your name, email, photo, headline and profile link. Because people you invited joined through you, an anonymous "Former member" entry stays in their lineage.
